[edit] Background

"Paul Warren" is actually a construct created by a small ward faction. The real Paul Warren appears to be dead, and this Paul has assimilated his memory and identity.

A few months ago "Paul", believing himself to be an almost-normal human, found he had lost a day and would occasionally transform into a very fast-moving bug. He believed he had been abducted and experimented upon.

[edit] Where did I come from?

Piecing his identity together, Paul resumes his life and work routine and tries to account for his missing day. Many routine tasks are done unfamiliar and faces seem alien. Paul relearns his routine hoping to ignore this fugue state and hope it doesn't happen again.

"Watch and Learn."

[edit] What shaped me?

Paul begins missing time again. He seems to be sleeping fine but he wakes with odd tastes in his mouth and clothing he doesn't recognize. Soon enough he finds his strange dreams have been real experiences, hunting people and animals in the city at night as a chitinous monster.

Hunter's Instincts

[edit] Recruited

Paul Warren survives the shock and begins seeking answers until the hunter becomes the hunted. A faceless man in a grey business suit stakes out his home. A great brown shaggy thing stalks him when he tries to pass as human. When packs of Red Court Vampires are added to the mix, Paul reaches the end of his rope and makes a deal with the devil. Andrew Bognar, Emissary of The Dragon offers him protection from the vampires providing he'll take a new job as an enforcer of his power in the city.

The Supernatural Finds me tasty

[edit] Crossed paths

Paul meets a Jinn: a master of transformation and valuable source of insight. (Alex B's Story)

Knowledge helps me cope

[edit] Another path crossed

Paul meets Rocco Perri, Wizard and Criminal. Rocco's experience with faeries has underlined a basic rule about being in organized crime or most anywhere really. Because if you don't, folks just won't take you seriously and it won't matter how nice or naughty you are.

Always keep your word

[edit] Level Up

Paul has gained 2 extra points of refresh and an indeterminate number of skill points. At least 1 point of refresh will go toward winged flight.

In addition, Paul is now the leader of a faction which has voting rights in Seven Wards. (The man in the grey suit had been from this faction.) Jeanie Guynes of the White Court also supports the party. This gives the PCs control of half the votes, approximately.
