Ivory Triangle
The Ivory Triangle is a long narrow green belt enclosing two rival cities, Gulg and Nibenay. Part of the green belt includes a sizable forest (the Crescent Forest), home to agafari trees, and the rest is called the Great Ivory Plain.
The different environmental attitudes of the cities spark a constant, low-grade war. The Gulgs try to guard the agafari forests, while the Nibenese constantly cut down trees there. The Gulgs have a combat advantage in the forest, while the Nibenese favor combat in the plains. The two have essentially matched forces over the past several hundreds of years.
The Ivory Triangle is home to numerous forts operated by dune traders, in order to protect caravans from raiding tribes.
