Half-Giants were created long ago by sorcerer-king breeding experiments. For obvious reasons, they could only be created through magical processes. Half-giants are fertile with each other.

Half-giants live in human cities, and don't associate with giants at all. They have a reputation for being unintelligent and easily led. A half-giant will often adopt a role model, changing their habits and even dressing patterns to more closely resemble them. Half-giants will even change their alignments, which is unfortunate when they're working for templars! For this reason, half-giant slaves rarely abandon their masters, seeing them as demanding bosses they'd never leave anyway.

Half-giant thugs are frequently used in sorcerer-king armies, and trained soldiers are used by the armies of Nibenay and Urik.

In game rules terms, half-giants are "goliaths".

  • Average Height: 7´ 2˝–7´ 8˝
  • Average Weight: 280–340 lb.
  • Ability Scores: +2 Strength, +2 Constitution
  • Size: Medium
  • Speed: 6 squares
  • Vision: Normal
  • Languages: Common, either Dwarven or Giant
  • Skill Bonuses: +2 Athletics, +2 Nature
  • Mountain’s Tenacity: You have a +1 racial bonus to Will.
  • Powerful Athlete: When you make an Athletics check to jump or climb, roll twice and use either result.
  • Stone’s Endurance: You have the stone’s endurance power.
    • Your foes’ attacks bounce off your stony hide.
