[edit] Where did I come from?
In 1978 a young woman working in the truckstop of the town of New Liskaard, Ontario met an odd, one-eyed trucker, who charmed her with his quick wit and then left her in a delicate situation, the result of which she named Brand. The boy had somewhat of a rough and unattended upbringing,but despite this he was a gregarious boy, big for his age, but he constantly got into trouble at school, since he would never back down when someone called him out, or mocked his mother for the useless drunk that she had pretty much become, as she coped with her bitterness and disappointment throught the venues of drink and minor child abuse both of which Brand learned to avoid by disappearing into the bush, especially whenever she began talking about his no-account fool of a vanished father.
[edit] What shaped me?
As soon as he was able, Brand got a job working as a logger, and met Pauline, a yarder on the same crew. The were shortly married, and Brand and Pauline moved into a cozy handbuilt house, which was further warmed by the birth of their first son, and a year later a daughter.
