[edit] Background

[edit] Where did I come from?

Growing up in Toronto, Chuck always new something was amiss. He would see things that made no sense, but when he would ask adults about it, they chalked it up to childhood fancy. Pretty soon, Chuck stopped talking to them. He didn't want to end up on a psychiatrist's bench, or worse, in electro-shock.

Years went by, and Chuck learned to cope with his strange visions. At fifteen, he befriended a small creature that lived in their garage. He would bring it food occasionally, and it would perform magic tricks for him. One day, it had simply vanished, and Chuck began a search for his friend. That search still goes on, in a small part of Chuck's mind, but it provided the jump start to his research into the existence of the Nevernever.

[edit] What shaped me?

In the late 60s, Chuck found a job in the RCMP, and quickly found that judicious use of his magical talents allowed him to be quite successful. When the McDonald Commission denounced the RCMP's role in intelligence and created CSIS, Chuck, who had a surprising knack for solving cases that had gone cold, was a natural choice for the new agency.
